If you have made it to this article, you have already decided that knowing the contents of your peptide, anabolic, or pharmaceutical compound is worth more than the cost of testing. Most of our other articles cover why that decision matters; this one covers exactly how to do it. The full sample submission process for Lumen Labs, from ordering a test through receiving your certificate of analysis, written for the Filipino buyer.
Lumen Labs is the Philippine peer to an established international peptide-testing laboratory in Czechia and another international laboratory in the United States. We are an independent third-party analytical laboratory based in Taguig, Metro Manila. We test submitted samples by HPLC, mass spectrometry, ICP-MS heavy metals, LAL endotoxin, and USP 61 microbial methods. We do not sell peptides, recommend vendors, or prescribe protocols. The only output is the data on your sample.
This guide walks through the six steps: choosing the right test, ordering, packaging, shipping from anywhere in the Philippines, payment, and receiving your report.
Step 1: Choose the right test
The test you order depends on what you want to know. The most common scenarios:
You bought a peptide vial and want to know it is real. The default test is HPLC purity plus LC-MS identity confirmation plus quantitation. This answers, "is the molecule what the label claims, and how much is in the vial." For BPC-157, ipamorelin, GHK-Cu, semaglutide, tirzepatide, and most research peptides, this is the right starting point.
You bought a testosterone or other steroid vial and want to know which ester it is. The default test is GC-MS identity plus HPLC quantitation. This distinguishes enanthate from cypionate from propionate from undecanoate, and reports the actual milligrams per millilitre against the label claim.
You bought an injectable and want to know it is sterile. Add LAL endotoxin and USP 61 microbial limits to the above. Worth the additional cost on any injectable, especially research peptides from compounding sources.
You suspect heavy metal contamination. Add ICP-MS for arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury at parts-per-billion sensitivity. More common request on raw powder than on finished injectable.
You bought a pharmaceutical product (branded tirzepatide, branded semaglutide, high-dose branded semaglutide, weight-management tirzepatide, branded testosterone) and want to confirm authenticity. The default test plus a counterfeit-pattern check. We have written separately on how to spot fake tirzepatide and branded semaglutide and the counterfeit pharmaceuticals Philippines landscape.
You are part of a Filipino peptide community organising a group order. Group testing splits the analytical cost across users from the same batch. Worth it if you have 5 or more users on the same source.
If you are not sure which test you need, the how peptide testing works explainer walks through what each method actually measures.
Step 2: Order the test
Visit the relevant collection on lumenlabs.ph:
- /collections/peptides for peptides including BPC-157, GHK-Cu, ipamorelin, GLP-1 receptor agonists.
- /collections/anabolic-steroids for testosterone, nandrolone, trenbolone, and other anabolic compounds.
- /collections/sarms for RAD-140, MK-677, ostarine, LGD-4033, and similar compounds.
- /collections/harm-reduction for heavy metals, endotoxin, sterility, and contamination screens.
Add the test to cart. Provide your email for COA delivery. Pay (see Step 5 for payment options). Once payment is confirmed, you receive a sample-submission email with your task number and the lab shipping address.
The current standard turnaround is 5 to 7 business days from sample arrival in our Manila lab to COA delivery. Expedited turnaround (3 business days) is available on most tests for an additional fee.
Step 3: Package your sample
Sample volume requirements for each test type:
- Liquid peptide or steroid vial: 0.3 mL minimum. Ideally send the entire vial; we test, document, and return on request.
- Lyophilised peptide powder: one 5 mg vial minimum. We can re-test the same vial multiple times if methodology requires it.
- Tablet or capsule: 3 to 5 units minimum. We do not require the original packaging.
- Raw powder: 100 mg minimum.
- Bacteriostatic water or other diluent for sterility check: 1 mL minimum in original sealed vial.
How to package:
- Use the original vial or container if possible. We need the label intact to confirm what you submitted.
- Wrap the vial in two layers of bubble wrap or absorbent material.
- Place inside a small leak-proof bag (zip-lock or similar).
- Place inside a rigid mailer or small box.
- Do not include any personal information inside the package. The shipping label is sufficient.
- Do not include payment, cash, or other items.
For temperature-sensitive samples (intact pharmaceutical pens, anything you have been refrigerating), include a small ice pack and write "KEEP COOL" on the outside. For room-temperature stable samples (most lyophilised peptides, most steroid vials), no temperature control is needed for transit.
Step 4: Ship to our Manila address
Ship to:
Lumen Labs
Unit 12B, Science Hub Building
Taguig City, Metro Manila 1634
Philippines
Use any tracked courier service. Options across the Philippines:
- DHL Express: 1 to 2 business day domestic transit. Most expensive but most reliable for high-value samples. PHP 250 to 600 depending on weight and origin.
- FedEx: 2 to 3 business day domestic transit. Similar pricing to DHL.
- LBC: nationwide 2 to 4 business day transit. PHP 130 to 350. The most common Filipino choice for medium-value items.
- J&T Express: nationwide 3 to 5 business day transit. PHP 100 to 280.
- Lalamove or Grab Express: same-day Metro Manila delivery. PHP 200 to 600 depending on distance. Use for Manila and surrounding cities only.
- Philippine Post (EMS): 3 to 7 business day transit. Cheapest but least tracked.
Reference your task number on the package label or in the courier description. We use the task number to match incoming samples to your order. Without it, sample matching takes longer and may delay your COA.
If you live in Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro, or anywhere outside Metro Manila, the LBC and J&T networks reach essentially every Philippine ZIP code with 2 to 5 day transit. If you are abroad and want to use Lumen Labs as your testing service, DHL international from most countries lands in 3 to 5 business days.
Do not include any controlled-substance label or marketing on the outside of the package. Mark contents as "laboratory analysis sample" if a courier asks.
Step 5: Payment options
Lumen Labs accepts:
- Shopify checkout via the website, including Visa, Mastercard, major Philippine digital wallets, GrabPay, major Philippine digital wallets, and bank transfer through PH payment processors.
- Bitcoin (BTC): on-chain payment to a wallet address provided at checkout. Confirmation within one block; analysis begins on first confirmation.
- USDT (Tether): ERC-20 (Ethereum) and TRC-20 (Tron) supported. Faster confirmation than Bitcoin. Lower fees on TRC-20.
- USDC: ERC-20 supported. Same workflow as USDT.
- Bank transfer: BPI, BDO, Metrobank, UnionBank, ChinaBank for Philippine accounts. Reference your task number on the transfer.
We have written separately on why crypto payments matter for peptide testing for the privacy-conscious user. Whatever payment method you choose, your sample is matched to your task number and your email is the only personal information we hold.
Pricing varies by test type. The full price list is on the relevant collection pages. Indicative ranges:
- Peptide HPLC + identity + quantitation: USD 80 to 150.
- Steroid GC-MS + HPLC + quantitation: USD 80 to 120.
- Heavy metals (ICP-MS): USD 90.
- Endotoxin (LAL): USD 100.
- Sterility (USP 61): USD 150.
- Group testing: discounted rates on 5+ samples from the same batch.
Step 6: Receive your COA
Once analysis is complete, your COA is delivered three ways:
- Email: PDF attached to a notification email at the address you provided.
- Customer portal: viewable at lumenlabs.ph if you set up a customer account.
- Public verification page: anyone with your task number and unique key can verify the COA at /pages/verify.
The COA documents:
- Sample identity (what was submitted)
- Methods used (HPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS, ICP-MS, LAL, USP 61 as applicable)
- Identity confirmation (mass match, retention time match)
- Purity (percent peak area at named wavelength)
- Quantitation (mg or mg/mL versus label claim, with measurement uncertainty)
- Status (pass, warn, fail, info, against published thresholds)
- Date analysed and analyst identifier
- Verification reference (task number and unique key)
If you are unfamiliar with the format, the how to read a COA guide walks through every section field by field. The why vendor COAs cannot be trusted explainer covers the structural difference between an independent COA and the kind of COA that often arrives bundled with grey-market peptides.
Confidentiality protocol
Lumen Labs holds the minimum information necessary to deliver your COA, your email and your task number. We do not require your real name, your address (the courier handles delivery), or any government identification. We do not share client information with any third party.
Anonymised test results may be published on the public COA database at /pages/results, with vendor names anonymised to a letter (Vendor Alpha, Vendor Beta) and the compound, status, and date displayed. You can opt out of public publication on the order form. The verification flow continues to work whether or not the result is publicly listed.
We do not retain physical samples beyond the analysis period unless you specifically request return shipping. Default disposition is incineration of the residual sample after analysis.
What if the result is not what you expected?
If your sample fails on identity, purity, quantitation, or contamination, the COA documents exactly what we found. We do not interpret the result as a pass or fail beyond the methodology thresholds. The decision of what to do with the data is yours.
What we will not do:
- Tell you whether to use or discard the product. That is a personal harm-reduction decision.
- Recommend a different vendor. We have no commercial relationship with any vendor.
- Re-test for free if you suspect the result is wrong. We document our methodology and uncertainty range; if you have analytical concerns, we are happy to discuss them, but the analysis we ran is the analysis we ran.
If your test result reveals a counterfeit or adulterated product, you may want to alert the broader Filipino community through the channels you sourced from. Lumen Labs does not coordinate this, but the group testing model is one structure that allows verified results to flow through a community.
Bottom line on sample submission
Sending a peptide, steroid, or pharmaceutical sample to Lumen Labs takes about ten minutes of your time and a courier-network round trip. The data you receive is the only objective answer to the question, "is this product what the label claims." The cost is low relative to the cost of using an unverified product, and low relative to the cost of paying for a peptide that turns out to be bacteriostatic water.
